Weight Loss TIP #1

#1: Limit your intake of juices, and eliminate your intake of regular sodas.

These drinks are high in sugar, which add unnecessary calories. But isn't juice good for us? Well, juice has a lot of good vitamins, but it still has a lot of sugar, and is very easy to over consume.

Solution: Make sure you are drinking small amounts of juice when you drink it. Switching to Crystal Light and diet soda can immediately decrease a significant amount of calories from ones diet. This may be difficult for people who absolutely cannot stand the taste of diet drinks. If this is you, then try making a goal to reduce your intake of sodas and juices. Depending on how much you are currently taking in, try to limit these drinks one can at a time.

  2. What about stopping all drinks except water and milk? I've contemplated doing this for a while but wasn't entirely sure if that was really such a good thing or not? And what type of milk is best to drink? We've been drinking fat free but sometimes I feel like it's just water anyways so what's the point? What's your take?

  3. Skim milk all the way. It is still an excellent source of protein and calcium, just without the extra fat, which means less calories. As for other drinks, they are all unnecessary in our diet. The only good think about all those other drinks is flavor. Many people don't drink enough water in a day because it has no flavor. The point is that drinking crystal light or whatever else is better than not drinking anything.
